LO-REZ Resilient Steel Spring Mounts
Resilient mounts, also referred to as isolators, are applied to reduce noise and vibration levels on board machinery. The effectiveness of a mount is expressed as the isolation rate, given as a percentage relative to an unisolated machine.
When selecting a resilient mount, the following parameters must be considered:
-
Resonance frequency (critical RPM): the natural frequency of the system should not coincide with operating speeds.
-
Deflection under load: mounts with greater flexibility generally provide improved isolation performance.
Resilient mounts can be categorized into two main types:
-
Rubber-based mounts
-
Steel spring-based mounts
In cooperation with Lo-Rez (Canada), a new series of steel spring mounts has been developed. Steel springs provide superior isolation properties and eliminate disadvantages commonly associated with rubber, such as oil sensitivity and creep (permanent deformation over time).
The new mounts are designed with identical footprint and installation height as existing RubberDesign and Vulkan products, ensuring compatibility. The correspondence is as follows:
-
RD200 series / Vulkan T90 → Exakt CR1-H
-
RD300 series / Vulkan T60 → Exakt CR1-G
All mounts are supplied with class approval.
